- PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT W912HP-17-B-0002 Post 45 Charleston Entrance Channel Maintenance and New Work Dredging - Contract 1 Charleston County, South Carolina PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT This announcement constitutes a Pre-Solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not an Invitation for Bids. No response is requested at this time. An Invitation for Bids will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, and the construction plans & specifications. The Invitation for Bids is expected to occur on or around 15 days after the posting of this Pre-Solicitation notice. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE INVITATION FOR BIDS ANNOUNCEMENT PLANNED IFB: The final IFB for this project will be announced no sooner than 15 calendar days from the date of the Pre-Solicitation announcement. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of maintenance and new work dredging of a base amount of approximately 6,093,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from the Charleston Entrance Channel and shall be deposited in the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). The work is located in Charleston County, South Carolina. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $25,000,000 TO $100,000,000. UNRESTRICTED: This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. The NAICS Code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with SBA Small Business Size Standard of $27.5 Million.The contractor must be registered in SAM.gov prior to award of the solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, down-loadable from the Internet. No CD-ROMS or hard-copy documents will be distributed. Bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and at the Federal Business Opportunity Homepage(www.fbo.gov) in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. A PREBID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD VIA TELECONFERENCE AT A TIME AND DATE TO BE DETERMINED. INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED WITH THE SOLICITATION.
