- This project specifies the following work: 1. Perform repair work on Building # 1025. Install 2 new folding sliding doors of steel and replace an exterior wall as exposed masonry. The bearing structure of the building consists of a prefabricated reinforced concrete construction filled with lime sand brick masonry. Building dimensions total, exterior dimensions : longitudinal side: approx. 19.50 m transverse side: approx. 22.00 m height: approx. 8.50 m Door # 1: When leaving the building, an overloaded truck drove into the interior side of the reinforced concrete lintel. Door # 1, the lintel and parts of the exterior wall were heavily damaged resulting in an imminent risk of collapse and danger to life. Dismantle the temporary weather-protection board wall and the door and install a new folding sliding door of steel. Door # 2: The damage of this door happened some time ago. The door has already been dismantled. Dismantle the temporary weather-protection board wall and install a new folding sliding door of steel. Roof: Replace thermal insulation and roofing, also roof gutters and waterspouts. Exterior wall: The exterior walls consist of a cavity wall with lime sand brick masonry. The exterior wall in the area of door # 1 is endangered by imminent collapse. Partially replace the exterior wall. Paint doors and walls. Building technology: Partially replace circulating air blower heating, pressure lines as well as receptacles and light switches. Electrical work: Dismount and replace the existing electrical main distribution in Room # 3. Dismount and replace a transformer in Room # 3. Dismount and replace the exterior illumination above the doors and side entrances. Dismount and construct lightning-protection system for Building # 1025. Dismount and replace surface-mounted installations such as switches, push buttons and receptacles (110 V and 230 V) in Room 1 and Room 2. Extend the cabling for the exterior illumination. Perform grounding measurement. Provide test reports for the lightning-protection system and the electrical system. Provide and digitize the as-built drawings. 2. The solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. 3. The performance period is 90 calendar days, whereby a commencement time of 15 days is included. 4.This is only a pre-solicitation and the actual solicitation will be issued in approximately three weeks. The solicitation will be posted at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov under the same solicitation number. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbernt upon parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments. 5. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the RCO Bavaria. 6. Work will be performed in Germany and contractor must comply with German law (e.g. authorization to do business in Germany. 7. Only local sources are solicitaed in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12).
