Description

Amendment 002 09 June 2017 Amendment 002 is posted to the solicitation. Pursuant to FAR 15.206, The solicitation is cancelled. 25 January 2017 Amendment 001 is posted to the solicitation. The proposal due date is extended to 10 February 2017. Interested Parties Questions and Answers are posted to the solicitation. 18 November 2016 In accordance with the FY15 congressional appropriations, this solicitation and resulting contract are for the acquisition of the next generation large airtankers and subsequent options. The USFS has a requirement to acquire one (1) to seven (7) new production commercial aircraft to operate primarily as airtankers for the aerial delivery of retardant in support of national wildland fire suppression, but also to serve in a multi-mission capacity. This contract includes for the manufacture, assembly, integration, test, certification, and delivery of the new production Transport Category airplane certificated under 14 CFR Part 21, at time of first aircraft delivery. These assets will continue the modernization of the U. S. Forest Service large airtanker fleet to include contractor owned and operated and Forest Service owned and contractor operated airtankers to enhance firefighting mobility, effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
