No award will be made from this RFI. This RFI will be used as Market Research in order to determine the socioeconomic business size of any interested companies. Please communicate via e-mail to Lance.Davis2@va.gov by COB June 14, 2017 as to your company s ability to perform service per this brief Scope of Work. Please state your company s business size (please provide DUNS number) and if you have a FSS/GSA contract that includes this service. Pass through companies will not be allowed as the following clause(s) will be placed into the solicitation depending on market research and which set-aside is deemed appropriate for this action. FAR 52.219-27 Notice of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside VAAR 852.219-11 VA Notice of Total Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside FAR 52.216-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside All basically state: Services (except construction), at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. DESCRIPTION: Provide scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services and breakdown repair services as outlined under the GSA Schedule Category 811001 for fourteen (14) elevators at OKC VAHCS. Provide scheduled PM services and breakdown repair services for eight (8) dumbwaiters also located at OKC VAHCS. Services include labor, travel, replacement parts and material required to PM and repair elevator and dumbwaiter equipment to OEM specifications. Location of Performance: VA Medical Center 921 NE 13th St Oklahoma City OK 73104 GSA CATEGORY 811001 The GSA Schedule Category 811001 under 03FAC provides the following description for Elevator Preventive Maintenance Services: Services consist of, but are not limited to, the performance of full repair and maintenance services including maintenance or repair of all mechanical devices and lighting, fixtures, ballast, bulbs, lamps, tubes, intercoms, telephone devices, wiring, appurtenances mounted in or on the car, fans, air conditioning units, security systems, lenses switches, lens plates, push buttons, and doors. but are not limited to Shall include - inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and if conditions or usage warrant, repair or replacement of the following: a. Controllers, selectors and dispatching equipment, relays, solid state components, transducers, resistors, condensers, power amplifiers, transformers, contacts, leads, dashpots, timing devices, computer and microcomputer devices, steel selector tapes, mechanical and electrical driving equipment, signal lamps, and position indicating equipment. b. Door operators, car door hangers, car door contacts, door protective devices, load weighing equipment, car frames, car safety mechanisms, platforms, car and counterweight guide shoes including rollers and gibs, and emergency car lighting. c. Hoist way door interlocks and hangers, bottom door guides, and auxiliary door closing devices. d. Machines, worms, gears, thrust bearings, drive sheaves, drive sheave shaft bearings, brake pulleys, brake coils, contacts, linings, and component parts. e. Motors, motor generators, motor windings, rotating elements, commutators, brushes, brush holders, and bearings. f. Governors, governor sheaves and shaft assemblies, bearings, contacts, governor jaws, deflector or secondary sheaves, car and counterweight buffers, car and counterweight guide rails, car and counterweight sheave assemblies, top and bottom limit switches, governor tension sheave assemblies, and compensation sheave assemblies. g. Pumps, pump motors, operating valves, valve motors, leveling valves, plunger packings, exposed piping, aboveground plungers and cylinders, and hydraulic fluid tanks. h. Replace all wire ropes as often as necessary to maintain an appropriate factor of safety. As conditions, usage, or code warrants, Vendor will equalize the tension on hoisting ropes, resocket ropes for drum machines, and repair or replace conductor cables and hoist way and machine-room elevator wiring. i. Vendor will periodically examine safety devices and governors on the elevators.
