Description
Invitation_for_Bid_DACW65-B-17-03 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one(1) item of timber on approximately 101 acres named the Tail-less Turkey Timber Sale. This sale is located on the Raystown Lake Project in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The sale area is being managed using even-aged and uneven-aged silvicultural prescriptions. The forest is dominated by northern hardwood species. Haul roads, log landings and skid trails exist therefore site impacts will be minimal. Whole tree chipping is prohibited. An Erosion and Sedimentation Plan and Accident Prevention Plan shall be completed and approved by the Corps prior to the start of timber harvesting. In addition, Proof of Pennsylvania SFI® Professional Timber Harvester Training Program certification shall be provided prior to the start of timber harvesting. At least two workers are required when conducting timber harvesting or associated work. All employees working under the purchaser must have basic CRP/First Aid. HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER: 75,571 BF (1/4") International HARDWOOD PULPWOOD: 2,923 Tons PINE PULPWOOD: 545 Tons The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers ONLY ON FRIDAY 30 June 2017 AT 9:00 a.m. Pre-bid tour attendees shall meet at Raystown Market (Intersection of SR 26 and SR 994). Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 19, 2017, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1011, and then publicly opened. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached to this post you will find and Invitation For Bid pdf file.
