- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,” as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-B- 1853896 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95 January 19, 2017. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325414, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1250 employees. The small business set aside is dissolved for this requirement. The acquisition is being competed full and open. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement to procure from Life Technologies the following: Multiscribe reverse transcriptase, no: 4311235, Quantity 39 each, RNASE Inhibitor; 20 Units/UL, 100 RXN, no: N8080119, 40 each; DNTP Mix w/DTTP, 12 Paq, 10MM each, no: 4303442, Quantity 5 each; CE-OSOPHORAMIDITE A/2.0G, no: 401159, Quantity 22 each; Taqman Universal MM 10X5ml 10/PK, no: 4305719, Quantity 9 each. This acqu i s i t i on of chemical material to provide high volume DNA sequencing of all pl asmids and PCR fragments produced by Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology i nvest i gators as re l ated to their respect i ve research projects at a g reatly reduced cost to the I n s t i tut e. FOB: Destination The government intends to a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor as a result of this RFQ that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. The award will be based on the following; price, capability to meet the requirements, delivery, past performance and the best value to the government.
