- SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 238210. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) Scope: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Fleet Vehicle Telematics (GPS). The contractor shall install telematics (GPS) units on all motor vehicles operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center. There are currently 185 vehicles, and it is expected to grow 3-5 vehicles per year. The contractor shall provide continuous GPS location of the Fleet and historical data on the Fleet, including vehicle location and speed. The contractor shall provide the following service to monitor fleet vehicle status; services include but are not limited to: 1. Install and remove VA purchased GPS devices as needed. Provide repair of and technical support on currently installed GPS units. 2. Analyze and repair issues that may arise with GPS signals. 3. Provide central website for user use and provide user access. 4. Vehicle diagnostics to monitor all vehicle mechanical and electrical functions. 5. Track vehicle maintenance and send email alerts when maintenance is due. 6. Provide accurate speed and odometer information for each tracked vehicle. 7. Provide automated monthly information to include: total fuel used, miles traveled, number of engine starts, hard braking incidents, and fast start events. 8. Ability to provide customized fleet reports. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size, DUNS and GSA contract (if any) pursuant to the NAICS code 238210. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Darnell.Rias@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 9a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
