- This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only pertaining to brand name or equal item(s) for the Ann Arbor VA healthcare facility. Information collected during this RFI may be used in a set aside. If a solicitation is issued, the Government will do so in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 337127. The NAICS size is 500 employees. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA at http://web.sba.gov/pro-net/ and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with the VIP at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov as an SDVOSB or VOSB. A Contractor that proposes to provide a supply that is not manufactured by their organization (nonmanufacturer) shall meet the requirements of FAR 19.102(f). Contractors that deem themselves capable of meeting the requirement shall provide the below information to Kellie Konopinski, Contracting Officer, at Kellie.Konopinski@va.gov no-later-than Friday, June 16, 2017 at 4:30PM, EDT, referencing (VA250-17-Q-0725). Responses shall include: (1) Business Name and Address, (2) GSA Contract Number, if applicable (3) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address (4) DUNS and NAICS code (5) Business Size SMALL or LARGE (6) Type of Business: service disabled veteran owned, veteran owned small business, 8a, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc. (7) A concern that is not a manufacturer of the supply shall provide the manufacturers name and size standard. Contractor must be registered with https://www.sam.gov To be considered SDVOSB/VOSB, must be registered in VIP (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/). Supplies are to include only TAA compliant items. Items that are not TAA compliant must be clearly identified by the Contractor should the contractor choose to offer a quote if a RFQ is published. FOB is Destination. Delivery is to: VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System 1700 E 38th Street Marion, IN 46953 Delivery, set up and installation of demountable wall paneling, for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS), Marion Campus, Building 172 2C Geriatric Psychiatry Unit. To be considered an equal the supplies being offered shall be brand name or equal to the following: ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT 0001 Construction Specialties, CS Acrovyn Wall Panels Demountable Sure Snap Wrapped Square Edge (11 W X 8 -6 H) or equal 11.00 EA 0002 Construction Specialties, CS Acrovyn Wall Panels Demountable Sure Snap Wrapped Square Edge (7 W X 8 -6 H) or equal 6.00 EA 0003 INSTALLATION 1 JB Delta Ecmc of no greater than 1.0 using CIELab color space. All products shall be designed with durability to meet the demands of the healthcare environment, including abrasion resistance and anti-microbial finish to support the reduction of fungal growth, spores from germs, microbes and bacteria. All finishes shall be engineered for heavy use and frequent cleaning using hospital-grade cleaning substances. Interior surface protection products specified herein and included on the submittal drawings shall be manufactured by Construction Specialties, Inc or a VANIHCS Interior Designer approved equal. Materials: Engineering PETG Wall Panels: Material should be high-impact Acrovyn 4000 with Suede texture, nominal.040 (1.02mm) thickness, factory-bonded to the face side and edges of 3/8 (9.53) thick particle board core. The backside of the panel and return edges to be laminated with a moisture resistance barrier. Chemical and stain resistance should be per ASTM D543 standards as established by the manufacturer. Mounting Hardware: High-impact resistance wall panels shall be furnished as a complete packaged system, including appropriate demountable hardware. Dimensions. All dimensions defined in the SOW, drawings, are nominal dimensions. The actual dimensions of each product or component may vary slightly from the nominal dimensions listed, as long as the products provide the same functionality as products of the exact dimensions, and as long as the products fit within each room or space. Overall panel thickness shall be 3/4" (19.05mm) Panel size: See Attachment A. Headwall Layout Code compliance: Assemblies shall conform to all applicable codes including IBC, UBC, SBCCI, BOCA, Life Safety and CA 01350. Fire performance characteristics: Provide engineered PETG wall panels with a UL label indicating that they are identical to those tested in accordance with ASTM E84 for Class B/2 characteristics listed below: Flame spread 75 or less Smoke developed: 350 or less Impact strength: Provided assembled wall protection units that have been tested in accordance with the applicable provisions of ASTM F476. Warranty. All products shall be designed for healthcare application and covered with manufacturer s standard lifetime warranty for healthcare use 3 shift, 24-7/365 days, ensuring the product will remain free of defects over the lifetime-use of the product. ( Lifetime-use is the period from the date of initial installation until use is discontinued.) This Limited Lifetime Warranty shall apply to normal wear and use, but shall not apply to damage or failure cause by: a) misuse; b) improper maintenance or cleaning; c) any unauthorized application; d) improper installation; or e) acts of God and/or other occurrences beyond the control of the manufacturer, including explosions, fire, riots, civil commotions and acts of war. All products shall meet indoor air quality and low emitting VOC requirements in accordance with the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification program, or equivalent or better environmental standard. The Contractor shall provide documentation showing that their products are GREENGUARD certified or are certified in accordance with the equivalent or better standard. Panels will come with preinstalled electrical outlets.
