Description
HSBP1017R0025 updated RFP HSBP1017R0025 A0001 06/12/2017 Update: Amendment 0001 removes the small business set aside requirement for the solicitation. This requirement will be solicited as unrestricted. Please see the attached amendment 0001 and updated solicitation. The due date and time remain unchanged. ------ 06/05/2017 Update: The RFP has been posted as of today. Please see the attached RFP (with attachments) for further details. Proposals are due by 07/11/2017 at 3:00 PM EDT. ------- U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit offers in response to request for proposal (RFP) HSBP1017R0025. The anticipated RFP will result in the award of a single indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IQ/IQ) contract for ballistic plates. The anticipated contract will be issued with a five (5) year ordering period. CBP has identified a need for rigid, lightweight ballistic plate armor capable of defeating high velocity rifle threats in support of the mission of officers and agents in the various components of CBP. As such, this requirement is for the procurement of ballistic plate armor (3 different plates) which offers National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified Level III ballistic protection in support of the mission of officers and agents within CBP. Attached is a draft statement of work (SOW) for potential offerors to review that provides more detail on the requirements. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. It is anticipated the RFP will be issued on or around June 8, 2017. This solicitation will be evaluated on a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) basis. Any questions relative to this notification, please contact Matt Korn via matthew.a.korn@cbp.dhs.gov.
