Description
This is a Source Sought only Butler VA Healthcare Center Relocation Start Date August 19, 2017 Primary move will take place September 1, 2017 through September 4, 2017 Department of Veterans Health Affairs located in Butler on 325 New Castle Rd. Butler PA 16001 is relocating all clinical and administrative staff to 353 N. Duffy Rd. Butler PA 16001. Each employee shall be provided 3 standard moving boxes approximately 2.5 to 3 cubic feet of storage each with lids and numbered security seals. There are approximately 435 employees plus an additional 27 boxes for 9 staff members with above average needs for a total of 1332. This number is not all inclusive and in some cases large boxes will be required and packing material to ensure fragile items are protected in moving boxes during transportation. VA employees will be packing and unpacking the standard sized boxes with the contents of their office. The VA employees will be packing and unpacking all contents in the library. Mobile library carts shall be provided to relocate the books. VA employees will be packing and unpacking all files located in the file rooms and from individual offices. The VA is planning on utilizing the boxes for a total of 3 weeks. (8/19/17 through 9/8/17). Delivery of storage boxes shall be coordinated with VA. The Vendor is responsible for delivering empty boxes to each room in Building 1, picking up the full boxes and delivering them to their designated room at the HCC. Vendor is responsible to provide any storage containers required for items too large to fit into regular storage boxes. Vendor will be responsible to move any equipment/furnishings too large to fit into storage boxes. Total lineal feet of file storage is approximately 1,200 There are 3 security safes to be moved on 9/2/17, their approximate weight and dimensions are as follows: a. 24 wide x 40 deep x 51 tall, approximately 1040 lbs b. 33 wide x 30 deep x 53 tall, approximately 1040 lbs c. 30 wide x 30 deep x 30 tall, approximately 500 lbs The Laboratory requires 5 large coolers and the Pharmacy requires 2 large coolers the weekend of the main move, approximately 100qt to 120qt in size. VA will provide the ice/ ice packs for the coolers. Provide labeling system to ensure all items are precisely delivered to their designated areas/rooms without being misplaced or lost. Labels at a minimum shall provide space to identify what room the container is coming from in Building 1 to the room the container is being delivered to in the HCC and employee name. A labeling system shall also be provided for all equipment too large to be packed into moving boxes. No desktop computers, printers, fax machines or telephones will be relocated. This equipment will remain in Building 1 for decommissioning.
