Description
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Detachment Everett intends to issue solicitation N4523A-16-R-0036 for the execution of the USS SAMPSON (DDG 102) FY18 Dry-Dock Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA). The availability will include a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair requirements, and is expected to require a highly capable contractor with substantial knowledge, capable of completing, coordinating and integrating DDG-51 class requirements. The Government intends to coordinate the access to AFDM 10 RESOLUTE, a Navy leased dry-dock currently leased to Vigor Marine, LLC, Seattle, WA, to be available for the USS SAMPSON (DDG 102) DSRA. Offerors wishing to utilize AFDM 10 RESOLUTE would be required to make separate arrangements with the Lessee for access and use of AFDM 10 RESOLUTE through the use of teaming agreements or other suitable agreements to confirm access. The solicitation is planned to be competed as a full and open competition to be accomplished within the Puget Sound region. The government intends to hold an industry day to discuss the USS SAMPSON (DDG 102) FY-18 Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability DSRA from 0945 to 1030 on Wednesday, 28 June 2017 at Naval Station Everett. This presentation will take place after the USS KIDD (DDG 100) Industry day information is completed from 0900 to 0930 the same day. Following the USS SAMPSON presentation, the Contracting Officer will present information on liquidated damages, incentives and quality assurance surveillance plans to be executed in the contract from 1045 to 1200. Once formal presentations have concluded, the government contracting and project teams will be available to meet one-on-one with interested offerors to discuss and receive feedback on liquidated damages, incentives and quality assurance surveillance plans. Individual one-on-one meetings will be scheduled upon request, please provide all information requested below to schedule a meeting time. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to participate in this procurement at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
