- Description
- This project is to renovate the existing Men's and Women's restroom areas, at the Robert F. Peckham Federal Building and Courthouse in San Jose, California, to comply with the ADA requirements. The project area totals 18 Restrooms, all of which are located in the Courthouse. The Contractor shall demolish and reconfigure existing building systems required to construct the proposed renovations. The Contractor shall provide all necessary site inspections, drawings and specification, coordination of all disciplines, supervision, and services. Work shall include. but not necessarily be limited to the following: * Demolition of the existing floor, ceiling, gypsum walls where existing finishes occur and are noted to be replaced, toilet accessories, interior finishes, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing Fixtures, etc., to prepare for the installation of new Fixtures and Finishes. * Modification and relocation of existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm to fit the new floor and ceiling plan layout. * Providing new construction work based on the Construction Drawings and Specifications, including new HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing upgrades. * Replace hot water and cold water pipes as noted in the construction documents. * Install new floor drains * Construction phasing plans required to renovate toilet rooms in ac active working office. * All work shall be performed in accordance with the drawings and specification, dated April 22, 2015, and future addendums provided by GSA. * There are no historical preservation requirements for this project. Duration of Project is 270 Calendar Days. North American Industrial Classification system (NAICS) code applicable to this acquisition 236220. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 15% of the contract work with his/her own employees. Award will be base on overall "Best Value" to the government. Anticipated solicitation issuance date is on or about July13, 2017, and the estimated proposal due date is about mid August.
