Description
RFQ NNX17626079Q-1 Combined Synopsis - Solicitation for PerkinElmer Frontier MIR + PERF + Spectrum 10 STD & TGA 8000 System TGA 8000/Frontier 120V instruments. Specifications for Coupled Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA) - Infrared (IR) Spectrometer (TG-IR) This instrumentation consists of three separate pieces of hardware and include the TGA, the IR and a heated interface with temperature/flow controllers integrated between the TGA and FTIR. A specification for each is provided below: Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA): Design Requirements:  Vertical balance with location above furnace and thermally isolated.  Heated gas divert valve to isolate evolving gas stream from IR for TGA analysis solely (this may be part of the TGA design or integrated into the heated transfer line Balance Requirements:  Sensitivity < 0.1 ug  Capacity of minimum 1000 mg  Weighing accuracy +/- 0.02%  Weighing precision +/- 0.01%  Chamber isolated from evolving gas stream/back flow conditions Furnace Requirements:  Resistant to inert and oxidative gas over entire temperature range  Temperature range ambient to 1200oC  Scan rates 0.1 - 500oC/min  Precision +/- 1oC  Curie Point temperature calibration (ASTM E1582) Cooling Requirements:  Forced air  Furnace cooling time 1200oC to 50oC < 20 min Atmosphere Requirements:  Static or dynamic sample environment using gases including nitrogen, argon, helium, air, carbon dioxide, oxygen  Gas control using mass-flow controlled balance purge with sample purge control switchable between multiple gases, and a reactive purge  Gas mixing up to 3 gases Autosampler Requirements:  Minimum 16 position autosampler system with appropriate software for unattended sample testing and data analysis. Software Requirements:  Integrated software package for variable rate control and TGA decomposition kinetics, and the capability to allow for simultaneous TGA-IR data collection, including single display integration and manipulation of both thermal and infrared data on a common axis of time and/or temperature  Single x-axis and dual y-axis display capability  Standard data conversion/correction/processing tools to include first order derivative curve and onset temperature capabilities Heated Interface with Control Module:  Heated gas divert valve to isolate evolving gas stream from IR for TGA analysis solely (this may be part of the heated interface or integrated into the TGA design  Single point control module capable of regulating temperature for both transfer line and gas cell up to 350oC, a mass flow controller and an integrated vacuum line to pump controller to direct evolving gases to IR gas cell as required. Multi-point control systems are acceptable but the use of a vacuum pump for directing gas from the TGA through the IR to exhaust is required.  User replaceable stainless or comparable transfer line and sample inlet tubing Mid-Range Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR): Optical Requirements:  Wavelength range 7,500 - 650 cm-1  Spectral resolution 0.4 cm-1  Wavenumber precision 0.008 cm-1 at 2,000 cm-1  Wavenumber accuracy 0.02 cm-1 at 2,000 cm-1  Sealed and desiccated (replaceable desiccant with indicator) optics with vibration stabilization  Signal-to-noise of 10:000:1 peak-peak, 5 seconds; 34,000:1 peak-peak, 1 minute  KBr beamsplitter System Requirements:  Fast scanning Michelson interferometer with self-compensating alignment  Capable of supporting up to two permanently installed detectors, including a liquid-nitrogen cooled detector  Temperature-stabilized DTGS detector  Instrument validation using polystyrene reference material or comparable, traceable to NIST standard for wavenumber accuracy and neutral glass NG11 filter for ordinate repeatability  Drop-in capability to allow rapid zero-alignment sample accessory change-out  Gas cell accessory capable of interfacing with heating transfer line from TGA. This cell will support operating temperatures up to 350oC and consist of KBr windows capable of user replacement  Single-bounce Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) accessory with germanium top-plate and pressure control capabilities to ensure reproducibility  Sample compartment sealed and desiccated with KBr compartment windows and purge port Software Requirements:  Able to meet software requirements as defined above for TG-IR application.  Auto analyze feature to perform peak-to-peak sample match probability, peak labelling and standard data conversion/correction/processing tools  Spectral search capabilities to include both vendor and user-generated databases  Spectral library to include vapor phase spectra  Provide instrumental control  Basic and advanced data manipulation routines, spectral arithmetic calculations,  COMPARE spectral comparisons,  PLS/PCR/Beer's Law predictions,  Beer's Law Quant method development,  Spectrum 10 macro writer,  Data tune-up,  Spectral searching,  Search starter libraries,  Configurable reporting and data export,  Built-in tutorials and online Help,  Laboratory scheduler  Scanalyze Hardware Requirements:  Windows 7 or higher 64 bit computer system with minimum 22" flat panel display  All necessary software necessary for operation of each component alone and as part of an integrated FT-IR system is to be pre-loaded prior to delivery Other:  One day minimum on-site vendor system installation and performance verification to include a general overview of system operation. A certified NASA-provided calcium oxalate standard will be included as part of the verification/training requirement
