- Description
- This is a synopsis for noncommercial items posted in accordance with FAR 13.105 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), Liquid Level Sensors; Cable Assemblies; and Adapter Cables on a Firm Fixed Price basis from Kinematics & Controls, Cage Code 1H3L5. The components are designed and tested based on Kinematics & Controls Corporation's proprietary drawings. Improper material or construction of these components from another manufacturer could result in a loss of functionality, or damage. This is intended as a sole source requirement and will be solicited as unrestricted under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 336419 as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The size standard is 1,000 employees. The Government's anticipated CLIN structure is as follows: CLIN 0001: Liquid Level Sensors, Quantity: 120 Each CLIN 0002: Cable Assemblies, Quantity: 120 Each CLIN 0003: Adapter Cables, Quantity: 4 Each CLIN 0004: Shipping, Quantity: 1 Job (if applicable and not included in item prices) CLIN 0005: Data, Quantity: 1 Lot, Not Separately Priced (NSP) The anticipated delivery date is 01 August 2017, F.O.B. Destination, Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. The anticipated release date of Request for Quote (RFQ) Number N66604-17-Q-2508 is 29 June 2017 and will be posted for less than 30 days in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. Additional details will be released upon issuance of RFQ Number N66604-17-Q-2508.
