- Description
- Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes," this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated contract under NAICS code 336611, Shipbuilding and Repair, with a size standard of 1250 employees. A CAC elbow will be replaced during a major maintenance period (MMP) at Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department King's Bay (NRMD-KB). The Work Package specifies one CAC Elbow to be replaced. The contractor shall provide all tooling, personnel, equipment and material necessary to accomplish the specified work. The contractor shall have a detailed plan, schedule and coordinate accomplishment of work with the shipyard; NNSY will remove and reinstall all interferences as well as set all maintenance conditions including isolation for the work. This work shall be accomplished on a nuclear system during the MMP. The pre-execution period of performance will have a duration of 14 months and the execution period of performance will be in FY20 with a duration of 3 months This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. A determination of the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is released at a future date, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
