Special Notice This is a Sources Sought notice to award a firm fixed contract in accordance with FAR 6.203. The Department of Veterans Affairs Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center at 2002 Holcombe BLVD. Houston, TX. 77030 has a requirement for specific equipment: MINOR TRAY. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there are available SDVOSB distributors of the MINOR TRAY brand name or equal products/services. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to capability of performance; (3) any other pertinent company documentation. This is not a request for proposal any notice received must show clear and compelling evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government please see statement of work attached. A determination to compete this proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. All submission should be sent to Winston.graber@va.gov or in GSA eBuy no later than June 23, 2017. STATEMENT OF WORK 1. Background: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is currently using Vascular Tray. This set provides surgeons the capability to perform carotid artery stenosis which is a narrowing of the large arteries on either side of the neck that carry blood to the head, face and brain. This narrowing is usually the result of a build-up of plaque within the arteries, a condition called atherosclerosis. Stenosis can worsen over time to completely block the artery which may lead to stroke. The Operating Room are requesting more systems to support their caseloads because right now surgeries are being delayed and with raising the par level for the Vascular Trays, it will ensure fewer delays in cases for procedures to better serve our Veterans. This purchase will enhance our ability to perform surgeries as needed in the Operating Room. 2.
