- Description
- This notice responds to the question received for Solicitation CC-GLCA001-18 issued on May 4, 2017, and amends the Prospectus. Question and Response Regarding Appendix 5 - Draft Agreement to Sell Entrance Passes Article I B.1.b. of the draft third party entrance pass sales agreement states, "The Organization is NOT authorized to sell any Passes through any website." Would the concessioner be permitted to accept payment for entrance passes online if it were in conjunction with booking a tour, and only under the strict condition that such prepaid passes would be hand-delivered to the respective customer and validated in person as part of the trip check-in process? NPS Response : Yes. See Amendment 1: Updates to the Prospectus. Amendment 1: Updates to the Prospectus Exhibit B: Operating Plan, page B-4 Replace Section 3 B)(6) Service Entrance Fee with the following text (underlining indicates changes): Service Entrance Fees. Trip rate amounts must not include the park entrance fee. All trip participants must either already possess or purchase an entrance pass. The Service intends for the Concessioner to sell " America the Beautiful - the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass," "Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Annual Pass," and/or "Preprinted - Seven (7) Day Entrance Receipts" (collectively referred to as "Passes") to trip participants who do not already possess a valid Area entrance pass. The Concessioner, if it agrees, will sign a separate Third Party Sales Agreement with the Service. Under the Agreement, the Concessioner may sell Passes online or in person with tickets for its river raft trips and must validate the purchased Pass when it is hand-delivered to the customer, such as at the time of purchase at a ticket counter or during trip check-in. Appendix 5 - Draft Agreement to Sell Entrance Passes Delete Article I. B. 1 b., which states: The Organization is NOT authorized to sell any Passes through any website. Replace with the following, Article I. B. 1 b. The Organization is authorized to sell Passes through a website only as approved by the NPS. The NPS will permit the Organization to sell Passes online with a river raft trip ticket. The Prospectus and any amendments will be available at http://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm
