Description

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE NOTICE. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 (2) (C) (ii) (A) only one responsible source to the vendor: Neogen Corporation located at 620 Lesher Place in Lansing, Michigan 48912-1509. Description of Requirement: 1. USDA requires processing of Illumina Infinium SNP BeadChip assays from 300ng of genomic DNA to SNP marker genotypes in the form of idat flies for download. 2. Specifically require the highest density SNP genotyping assay available for goats, Illumina Caprine that can process 24 samples per beadchip with each beadchip containing enough Infinium SNP assays to genotype 53,000 loci per sample. 3. Assays would be processed to completion with genomic DNA sent to vendor with a call rate for each sample above 90%. 4. Idat files must be available for download within 4 weeks upon receipt of genomic DNA The NAICS code for this requirement is 541380 and the small business size standard is $15,000,000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; all information received by July 7, 2017 will be considered by the Government. All interested vendors must respond by July 7, 2017 Eastern Time to John.Wilkinson@ars.usda.gov referencing Solicitation No. 861769. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
