- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Item 416-R, Levee Enlargement and Berms, in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, semicompacted levee embankment, ramps, semicompacted berm embankment, uncompacted berm embankment, removing and replacing existing gravel surfacing, crushed stone surfacing, mowing, turfing, erosion control matting, cattle guards, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. Issue date and bid opening date will be determined at a later date. This procurement is Total Small Business Set-Aside and issued under FSC Code Y1PZ for a firm fixed price contract. Right of Way is currently not available. Bid opening will not be held until Right of Way is available.
