Description

The United States Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with the Fort McCoy, WI Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b), intends to make a sole source award to a firm with the capability to provide ski lift repair services. The contractor shall be responsible for the termination of all electrical connection servicing the ski lift without affecting the operation of other mechanical and electrical systems at the surrounding location; shall provide all debris control necessary to perform this work in conjunction with the ski area normal operations; shall disconnect, remove and dispose of the existing ski lift motor and replace with new motor and controller compatible with the existing ski lift. The anticipated source is Doppelmayr USA. Inc. as they are the original manufacturer of this specialized piece of equipment, and the components of this ski lift are not interchangeable from one manufacturer to another; therefore, Doppelmayr is the only firm capable of providing the required services. This is not a formal solicitation or request for proposal. This synopsis of intent is to give notice of the Government's intent to make a sole source award. Contractors who can provide the U.S Army Engineering and Support Center with the required services, are invited to electronically submit an affirmative, written response indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. The current ski lift system is a "Doppelmayr Sparta T-Bar Lift".
