Description

Dilorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic (DTHC) Pentagon has a requirement to procure a Land Mobile Radio (LMR). The Government intends to procure this item on a sole source basis from Motorola Solutions Inc. because preliminary market research indicates that only Motorola Solutions Inc. as the manufacturer of this item, can provide the required item because it is the only secure proprietary that works only with Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) handheld Radio systems with antenna, LCD screen, with button to change channels, battery and numbered touch pad. Land Mobile Radio (LMR) APX 800 consists of all band portable Model 2, Astro digital, P25 9600 Baud Trunking, Smartzone Operation, AES encryption, Astro 25 OTAR/ Multikey, TDMA operation. The requested item is propriety to Motorola Solutions, Inc. and can only be purchased directly from them. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations and a solicitation for this requirement will not be issued. Prospective offerors are advised that, because there are no other known sources, the agency has authorized the procurement of this item under the full and open competition under FAR 6.3. However, interested responsible sources may submit a capability statement for the agency's consideration in determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted in the future for this item. A copy of the Justification and Approval will be posted no later than 14 days after contract award.
