Description
AG-4D90-S-17-0040 AZ PMC HVAC The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) requires replacement of the current HVAC system in the headquarters building of the Tucson Plant Materials Center. The NRCS is committed to "helping people help the land" - our mission is to provide America's farmers and ranchers with financial and technical assistance to voluntarily put conservation on the ground, not only helping the environment but agricultural operations, too. For more information regarding the agency and its programs visit http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/. The current HVAC system was installed in 1994. It is a closed loop system with 3 McQuay water source heat pumps (FCV060BMFL), 1 Lochinvar gas boiler (RVN270), 1 Evapco fluid cooler (LSW20AA), and one B&G ¾ horsepower circulating pump (365). The heat pumps are located within the building while the boiler, cooler, and circulating pump are located in an adjacent mechanical building. The system is responsible for the heating and cooling of approximately 3,200 sq. ft. of office space. Replacement of current closed loop HVAC system with 3 five ton, 18 series, inverter variable speed split system heat pumps with three fan coils, and three wi-fi thermostats. Contractor is responsible for installation of copper tubing, lined and insulated sheet metal duct work, air conditioning pads, and any and all electrical disconnect switches to connect the heat pumps to existing duct/vent work. Work must use existing closed loop holes in the envelope of the building.
