- RFP Questions and Answers, as of 23 June 2017. Industry Day Attendance Industry Day PowerPoint Presentation Introduction: The Forest Service is pursuring a competitive five year (base year plus four one-year options) multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The Government anticipates making two awards from this action. The approximate start date for the contracts is August 2017. The ceiling amount of orders placed under the contracts is $25M. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Scope of Work: The work areas that the contractor is responsible to perform include analysis, consultation and expertise in determining and/or delivering innovative approaches to solving questions related to Forest Service business requirements through the use of geospatial tools, models, and analysis procedures. These services include advanced analysis of raster, vector and imagery based data sources. Services also include geospatial training and support in natural resource application and the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing; Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and mobile field collection systems. The contractors provide geospatial scripting and modeling support to GTAC system operations such as FS-Topo, the web-based application that facilitates compilation and delivery of customized map products, and Active Fire Mapping. These services are considered professional in accordance with the definition in 29 CFR § 541.301 and require key personnel possessing an advanced degree in a scientific area generally in a physical, biological, environment, or natural resource discipline as well as a minimum level of actual experience. Pre-Proposal Conference: The Government is holding an Industry Day for prospective offerors on 21 June 2017 beginning at 0800 at: Geospatial Technology and Applications Center (GTAC) 2222 W 2300 S Salt Lake City, Utah 84119 The Industry Day will consist of a 2-hour presentation/general session followed by optional one-on-one sessions with government/prime contractors (see update below). Prime contractors may bring teammates and subcontractors with them however, combined attendance is limited to 5 people per teaming arrangement. Written questions and the names of attendees must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by COB 15 June 2017. This response shall also include the prime contractor's interest in attending a one-on-one session with the Government. One-on-one sessions will be booked, first come-first serve. GTAC is a secure facility. Attendees must arrive to GTAC by 0730 to ensure sufficient time for the entry screening process. 23 June 2017: Industry Day PowerPoint slide presentation, list of contractor attendees, and questions and answers have been posted to FBO.
