Description

This project will be completed on the campus of the Walter Reed national Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and will include: Demolition of the existing 3,700 BSL Suite in the basement and construction of new BSL-3 and BSL-2 laboratories in that same footprint. The primary intent of this scope of work is to create new BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories that will be fully functional, meet all applicable codes and regulations, and be able to be certified. The existing space will be demolished back to shell conditions and rebuilt with a new layout to meet the BSL requirements. This will be a design-build project with the designer responsible for laboratory design and an intensive documentation of existing conditions in addition to preparing the other design deliverables. This work occurs in Building 9, WRNMMC
