Pre-solicitation Notice: W912ES-17-T-0096 Class Code: F099, Other Natural Resources and Conservation Services NAICS: 561730, Landscaping Services Size standard: $7,500,000.00 Subject: Vegetation Control and Tree Planting Services Place of Performance: Upper Iowa River near New Albin, IA Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District has a service requirement for applying herbicide applications (vegetation control) and planting tree seedlings at a site along the Upper Iowa River near New Albin, IA located in Allamakee County, IA. This synopsis is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive small business set-aside acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Quotes will be due approximately 8-14 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, this time frame is an estimate and subject to change. The definitive quote due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking fbo.gov for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be registered in SAM, have an active account, and have completed the Representations & Certification sections (FAR and DFARS) prior to receiving an award. Initial registration could take up to 4 weeks. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov.
