Description
This is a market survey for the installation of an outside filtration system at Grand Rapids Michigan ASR HVAC Units. Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking nor accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is seeking interest from small business, SDVOSB or eligible 8(a) certified firms. “ Interested firms should have the following qualifications: A company familiar with filtration medias (activated carbon), filtration equipment adsorbers, and accessories. The company should also have Spent Carbon Services on change out. Applications typically include the removal of organic chemical contaminants from industrial air emissions, gas process streams, internal work air environments. DRAFT SCOPE OF WORK: 1.Three units at the facility require filtration, two (2) 20 ton and one (1) 7.5 ton rooftop units. 2.Activated Carbon Systems are needed to provide 98-99% control efficiency down to 0.3 microns for volatile organic compounds (VOC) and hydrogen sulfide (HCL) contaminants in the air. 3.This installation will also require performing regular analysis of the remaining lifetime of the pellets in use and building specifically designed filtration systems. In addition provide a monitoring support Service to ensure that the system is always function to maximum efficiency. Cabinet - The cabinet housing shall be constructed of heavy gage steel (min. 16 Gauge) Galvanized. The cabinet can be adapted to mount on the existing unit/ductwork. Pressure Gauge “ Provide weather proof and vibration proof pressure gauges for low differential pressure. Activated Carbon Pre-filter - Provide activated carbon pre-filter to remove particulates. This pleated Carbon impregnated filter system will sit in existing tracks and/or devised cabinetry. Duct Modification - Some modification to existing outside ducting will/may be needed to accommodate The filtration system installation and continued maintenance. Use of same size duct is preferred. Provide insulation and same outdoor water proofing wrap as applied to existing duct work. Spare/ Replacement Filters - Provide a complete set of spare filters for replacement so that required Filter testing can be performed with replacement filters available for installations. - Interested vendors should submit the following documents to the point of contact listed at the bottom of this announcement: 1. Capability Statement “ (a) Provide evidence of performance on past or previous contracts for projects same/similar to that described below for same/similar work located on federal facilities or other locations. Provide contract numbers, name of organization, and type of work performed. (b) Number of years in business performing the services required of this announcement. 2. A copy of the vendor's SBA 8(a) Certification Letter, if applicable. All responses to this market survey must be received by COB on July 10, 2017. All submittals should be submitted in electronic format (email) to: melody.mcgovern@faa.gov. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendors' expense. NOTICE for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
