- SYNOPSIS: Construction Project: Lower Monumental Transformer Drain Oil/Water Separator. This will be a firm fixed-price construction contract located at Lower monumental Lock and Dam, Franklin County, Washington. Estimated construction magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance and payment bonds (100%) will be required. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The purpose of this work is to install an oil/water separator system to collect rain water from the transformer containment areas on the intake deck of Lower Monumental Dam. This will include: • Chipping and core drilling of concrete to intercept existing 3" concrete embedded drain piping from 12 transformer containment drains located in 6 transformer containment areas. • Install a common 3" steel header pipe approximately 500 foot long inside the powerhouse to divert the drains to the oil/water separator system. • Fabricate and install an oil/grit trap per government design. • Supply and install a commercial filter unit with hydrocarbon filters. • Install a construction joint seal in 2 of the transformer containment areas per government design. All on-site work shall be performed in accordance with the Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1). Solicitation Number W912EF-17-B-0010 is an Invitation for Bids and will be posted to the FedBizOpps (FBO) website approximately the middle of July, 2017. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. A site visit will be offered generally within 2 weeks after the solicitation is issued. The site-visit is HIGHLY recommended if a bid is intended. See solicitation for details about the site visit. Only ONE site visit will be offered. Such documentation may include a US passport, Certificate of US citizenship (INS Form N-560 or N-561), Certificate of Naturalization (INS Form N-550 or N-570), foreign passport with I-551 stamp or attached INS Form I-94 indicating employment authorization, Alien Registration Receipt Card with photograph (INS Form I-151 or I-551), Temporary Resident Card (INS Form I-688), Employment Authorization Card (INS Form I-688A), Reentry Permit (INS Form I-327), Refugee Travel Document (INS Form I-571), Employment Authorization Document issued by the INS which contains a photograph (INS Form I-688B).
