Description
Sources Sought Market Survey The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District is performing a market survey for an upcoming coming Design-Bid-Build project entitled, "Replace Fire Sprinkler Systems, HAS Bldgs 3243, 3247, 3248, 3253, and 3254, Misawa Air Base, Japan". This announcement constitutes a market survey that is being conducted for planning purposes only and the information received will assist the Government in developing an acquisition method for this project. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation or award. This is NOT a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. This market survey is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Firms interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research, the purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of satisfying the Government's requirement. This survey seeks qualified and capable contractors to submit responses to this notice in order to adequately plan the acquisition. If your company would like to be considered as a potential source for this work, please submit a response adhering to the below submission requirements. PROJECT INFORMATION Project Title: Replace Fire Sprinkler Systems, HAS Bldgs 3243, 3247, 3248, 3253, and 3254 Project Location: Misawa Air Base, Aomori-ken, Japan Project NAICS: 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors Project Magnitude: Between ¥1,000,000,000 and ¥2,000,000,000 (Japanese Yen) (Utilizing a rate of: 100 Yen to 1 U.S. Dollar) Project Description: The subject project is located at Misawa Air Base, Japan. The requirement consists of removal of existing Halon fire suppression systems, modification of existing oil water separators, construction of pump houses, installation of foam preaction systems with air compressor, preaction valves, and specialty foam sprinkler, installation of a wet pipe fire sprinkler system with freeze protections for generator room and generator fuel room, and installation of a fire alarm system with optical and heat detectors. Procurement Method: The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. While the Japan Engineering District is considering the issuance of an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a final determination has yet to be made. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR RESPONSES TO THIS MARKET SURVEY In order to adequately plan for this project's procurement, the Government requests the following information from interested firms: 1. Company name, address, phone number, email, Cage Code and point of contact 2. Describe your firm's capability and experience relative to the work included in the Project Description. Please provide information on comparable projects (for government or commercial customers) completed in the past 6 years. 3. Describe your firm's level of interest relative to all aspects of the work. 4.
