Description

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) A. GENERAL GUIDANCE 1. Title of Project: ENDOSCOPE DRYING CABINET 2. Product Description: The Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital (STVHCS), San Antonio, Texas has the following BRAND NAME OR EQUAL REQUIREMENT. 3. Scope of Work: Upon receipt of purchase order vendor will manufacture, configure and ship all system components to the customer site. Soon after, a member of the Technical Services Team or vendor representative will contact the customer (typically the SPS Chief & Assistant Chief) to schedule a pre-installation conference call. The Pre-installation conference call typically includes the SPS Chief & Assistant Chief as well as representatives who will be performing the site-prep work (e.g. Bio Medical Engineering, Facilities Management, Engineering, Electricians, and/or Contractors hired by the customer). During this call vendor will explain all modules of the system, how they operate and best practices for specific location of system components. In addition, the customer will receive a step-by-step explanation of the preparation work required. Once complete the customer should have all the information they need to commence with the site preparation work. Vendor technicians will be available to provide support as needed though out the process. The installation technician will assure all systems are properly functioning. Vendor technician or representative will provide In-Service Training (up to 3 shifts) for SPS staff. The Technician is prepared to provide training to each shift on a consecutive basis (one 24 hour cycle). SPS will ensure that the proper personnel are scheduled to be present for the in-service training. 4. Background: The National Office of Sterile Processing has released a new directive that requires all endoscopes to have 10 minutes of forced air drying after each low level cleaning. This new cabinet is required to maintain compliance with the directives. B. CONTRACT AWARD MEETING kick-off meeting is required. C.
