- Sources Sought Fill-In INSTALL FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM B204C SOURCES SOUGHT. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; a market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone, Small Businesses and Service Disabled Veteran Sources, Small Disavantaged Businesses 8(a), or Women Owned Businesses who are authorized/certified installers of SimplexGrinnell fire alarms systems. A Contractor's status will be verified through SAM and SBA. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. New York Air National Guard may issue a solicitation and/or award of a contract to complete project "Install Fire Detection System B204C," subject to availability of funds. The New York Air National Guard is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of performing installation of a SimplexGrinnell fully addressable fire alarm system in building 204C at the Niagara Falls ANG Base, Niagara Falls, New York. The work includes furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for a complete building system. To the best of our knowledge, SimplexGrinnell is the only company with rights to install or upgrade their own equipment and does not permit other vendors to do so. As AFRC (914 AW) is the host base, we have to install SimplexGrinnell systems for warrant purposes and compatible with their front end SimplexGrinnell system. The intent of the market survey is to determine whether there are authorized/certified socio-economic small business SimplexGrinnell installers who have the rights and manufacturer-approved procedures and equipment to work on SimplexGrinnell systems. The magnitude of this project is between 25,000 and $100,000. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 7 Jul 2017. This notification, which shall not exceed five pages, must include a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form (link to form below). In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as a sole source requirement.
