- This is not a request for a quote, this is a notice that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration intends to award a Sole Source award to University of Florida to perform additional deliverables under existing BAA contract. The Government intends to award a sole source award in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions and will be made pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements for the stated service. University of Florida is deeply engaged in the process of existing contract, the additional work is in scope of existing work and final deliverable. No other vendor can provide the continuation of the process required. Additional work is to conduct a qualitative LC-MS/MS analysis in existing studies. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. This award will be a twelve month period starting on July 31, 2017 to July 30, 2018. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement to Sarah Hussain, sarah.hussain@fda.hhs.gov within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after 5 days or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
