Description
Amendment # 01: 1. Q: How many deaf individuals will be in need of services? A: Nine Deaf. (8 in Battle Creek and 1 in another state). 2. Q: How many deafblind individuals will be in need of services? A: None at this time. 3. Q: What will be the process for requesting interpreters? A: By any of these options: email, LAN line phone, cell phone, and text. 4. Q: If a multiple award, what criteria will you use to determine who is issued work and how much work will be issued? A: This will be a single award contract. 5. Q: Will electronic submission of the proposal be satisfactory? A: Yes, email is preferred for proposal submission. 6. Q: What are your insurance requirements, if any? A: No insurance requirements. 7. Q: Is Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) an option you are interested in considering? A: On site interps are priority and necessary. Not interested in VRI. 8. Q: Do you anticipate needing CART? If yes, is remote CART an option you are interested in considering? A: No need for CART. 9. Q: Can you provide any other significant historical data? A: This is currently being serviced under contract # SP451014D0005, through the Interpreter Network of Southwest Michigan. 10. Q: Have you been satisfied with the services you received in the past? If no, what issues have arisen? A: Satisfied with previous service. No issues. 11. Q: Will you give equal consideration for in-state and out-of-state vendors? A: All offerors will be evaluated per the evaluation criteria identified in this combined synopsis/solicitation. 12. Q: Will there be any set asides for SB, WBE, or any other types of disadvantaged businesses? A: This procurement is a 100% WOSB set-aside. 13. Q: Will it be an open solicitation? A: See answer to question 12. 14. Q: When will the solicitation come out and can we be added to the list of interested vendors? A: This combined synopsis/Solicitation was posted on June 19 th 2017 with proposals due July 7 th 2017. 15. Q: Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this (like, from India or Canada)? Since this is a 100% WOSB set aside, the firm must be based in the USA. 16. Q: Do we need to come over there for meetings? A: All interpreters provided must be physically present. 17. Q: Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside USA? A: All interpreter services must be performed at the designated location.
