Description

Combined Synopsis/Solicitation: FDA-17-RFQ-1182772, Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectrometer System. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Division of Pharmaceutical requires a fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer system for protein analysis in aqueous solution. The main applications of this system shall be for the detection of conformational changes, concentration analysis and determination of the secondary structure of proteins. The FTIR spectra will improve the physicochemical characterization of therapeutic proteins and protein based drug product. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Parts 12 and 13 procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.
