Description

NATICK Drwg 11-1-7752 MIL-STD-913A This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement; a market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, CO has been tasked to solicit for and award for Concrete Sling Load Training Blocks of various size/weight. The blocks must meet commercially available standards set forth in MIL-STD-913A and engineering specifications detailed in NATICK Drawing 11-1-7752. Both standards and engineering specifications are attached in two seperate files. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price AWARD. The results and analysis of this Sources Sought Synopsis will assist in the determination of procurement method. The type of set-aside issued will depend upon the responses received from this synopsis. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Large Business, Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Women Owned Small Business, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of the construction of four sling load training blocks of various size and weight. These are 1.5K, 2.1K, 8.5K and 12K blocks of cement with rebar reinforcement and four hooks of rebar protruding from the top for attaching it to the sling assembly hanging from the aircraft. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 327331 Concrete Block and Brick Manufacturing which has a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Standard Industrial Code is 3271 Concrete Block and Brick and the Federal Supply Code is 3940 Blocks, Tackle, Rigging and Slings. Firm's response to this SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS shall include the following information: 1. Vendor's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Vendor's proof of ability to fulfill the requirement for Sling Load Training Blocks for Fort Carson, CO. This proof should include but not limited to drawings, photos, specifications, and previous goverment contracts that demonstate the firms ability to properly produce the required items. 3. Vendors's Business Size - IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 19.203(a) 4. Interested Firm's shall respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis no later than 1:00pm (MST) 7 July 2017. All interested firms must be registered in SAM to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
