- Synopsis for USNO Foreoptics Assembly Under full and open competition, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, 700 Robbins Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19111 intends to solicit for the supply on behalf of United States Naval Observatory for a foreoptics assembly. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5. The award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Release of the Request for Quotes [RFQ] will be via the internet. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may download the RFQ upon its issuance to the following website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The closing date for receipt of quotes will be established in the RFQ. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring of the aforementioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The applicable North American Industry Classification System [NAICS] code is 334511. The anticipated base year performance period for this procurement is 6 months from contract award. Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation upon its release, which is anticipated to be released no earlier than 03 July 2017. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be considered for award.
