Description
The Department of Justice (DoJ), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Washington D.C. intends to issue a sole source call order with a performance period from June 29, 2017, through June 28, 2018. The call order will be issued to Verizon Wireless for wireless telecommunication and data services. The resulting order will be placed for wireless services for a ceiling of 628 lines across the DoJ OIG. These lines include various plans for all types of OIG employees, including special agents utilizing undercover lines. Verizon Wireless has been providing the OIG with wireless services for several years. Transitioning from one wireless carrier to another would inhibit the continuing operation of over 600 employees. Continued communication, particularly by the Inspector General and special agents is paramount. This call order is being placed off of the FBI's Blanket Purchase Agreement, which was competed and pre-negotiated among wireless carriers. Verizon was the awardee of such BPA. The DoJ is in the process of competing a large centralized vehicle of wireless carriers based off of GSA's wireless FSSI initiative. Once this vehicle is in place, the DoJ OIG might have better, more centralized options that would allow it to consider re-competing its wireless services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, as no solicitation package will be issued. However, if a firm believes it can provide the wireless services for 628 lines, including call plans, data, and undercover options without any interruption in services, it may give notification via e-mail to Christie Deskiewicz, Contracting Officer, at christie.m.deskiewicz@usdoj.gov no later than July 7, 2017, 2:00 p.m., EST. The Government will review all responses without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is fully-qualified to fulfill the requirements.
