- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) is seeking information on the engineering design to replace the existing Arc Jet (SVS). The new SVS shall match the performance of the existing SVS. This document is for information and planning purposes only to allow industry the opportunity to submit responses describing their relevant capabilities and provide feedback regarding the replacement of the Arc Jet SVS technical and programmatic requirements. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) ARC is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including Small, Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Veteran Owned (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SD-VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI) for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for the replacement of the Arc Jet Steam Vacuum System (SVS). The Government reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Service Disabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses hereto. Additionally, your responses must include the following additional information: name and address of firm, overnight delivery address (if different from mailing address), phone number, fax number, and e-mail of designated point of contact, size of business; whether they are Large, Small, SDB, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, SD-VOSB, HUBZone, and HBCU/MI, and affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, and potential teaming partners. The NAICS Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; Size Standard $36.5M. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. This Sources Sought (SS) does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Government will not pay any costs associated with responses to this SS. The intent of this SS is to identify vendors (engineering design firms, consultants and manufacturers) with experience and expertise in designing steam vacuum system similar in size and performance to the existing Arc Jet SVS.
