Description
Please see Q&A #3 below for further clarification: 1. The response to Question 20 indicates the proposal due date is 7 July 2017, 2:00 pm Central Time; however, the Amendment/Modification issued on 22 June 2017 indicates the proposal due date is 6 July 2017, 2:00 pm Central Time. Please clarify the proposal due date. RESPONSE: The proposal due date was extended from 6 July 2017 to 7 July 2017, 2:00 pm, Central Time. 2. The Air Force did not answer question 1.c of the contractors submitted questions. This would align with Question 42.c in the "Combined_Questions_FA8903-17-R-0060_22Jun2017" file. The unanswered question was: "To properly certify/verify the JATO bottles as MDAS, a minimum of two EOD/UXO personnel are required per DoD Instruction 4140.62. Can the Air Force please consider revising the task description to indicate that a minimum of two EOD/UXO personnel are required for this task?" RESPONSE: Follow the DOD requirement, a minimum of two EOD/UXO to investigate the JATO bottles. The PWS, paragraph 5.2, has been updated to reflect this change. However, due to issues uploading supporting documentation to FBO, the updated PWS will be provided at a later time. 3. The response to Question 9 indicates that a layer of top soil is required on top of the backfill material. This would equate to approximately 1,500 cubic yards of topsoil required for the project. Please confirm this is the Air Force's intent as this would notably increase the project costs. Applying hydroseed to backfill material (i.e. native soil) will result in germination as long as the seed is adequately watered. RESPONSE: Top soil is not required at the fill locations. The backfill material is sufficient, for fill and the seeding requirement.
