- Description
- Sources Sought Announcement. Retrofit 2. W56KGY-17-D-0005 The IP retrofit effort is grouped into three flights. A flight is defined as a grouping of IP radar systems with similar configurations or in accordance with the complexity of retrofit required. a. Flight 1. Major retrofit efforts for this flight include the removal and replacement of the obsolete stationary platform and leveling system with that of the FRP configuration, replacement of the unarmored medium tactical vehicle (MTV) cab with an armored cab, radar cooling modifications, specific system hardware upgrades that support software requirements, cyber and electromagnetic interference (EMI) improvements, blackout, and signature reduction modifications. These systems have not received the required hardware upgrades to operate 6.01 through 6.02SP2 versions of software. b. Flight 2. Major retrofit efforts for this flight include specific upgrades of system hardware that support software requirements, cyber and EMI improvements, radar cooling, black out, and signature reduction modifications. These systems have not received the required hardware upgrades to operate 6.01 through 6.02SP2 versions of software. c. Flight 3. Major retrofit efforts for this flight include specific upgrades of system hardware that support software requirements, cyber and EMI improvements, radar cooling, black out, and signature reduction modifications. These systems are unique given the hardware upgrades received in 2014 to operate 6.01 through 6.02SP2 versions of software. Subject-matter expert knowledge of the system's technical performance, hardware configuration, and software requirements are required to fully execute the requirements contained within the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Additionally, knowledge of system operations, training materials, test procedures, and maintenance processes for troubleshooting and repairing the AN/TPQ-53 is required.
