THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX, is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 that can offer the services listed below: STATEMENT OF WORK Transaction Number: 580-17-3-4167-0278 1. EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION: ENTRY # MANUFACTURER MODEL SERIAL # LOCATION 1 POLICE AFIS SCAN SYSTEM A. Background: The Houston VAMC Police Service is tasked to outfit VA Police with an AFIS machine to expedite processing (fingerprinting and photographing) suspects. B. Scope of Work: The contractor will provide goods needed to outfit VA Police with an AFIS. Vendor must be able to provide system that is compatible with Harris County Sheriff s equipment. C. Work Requirements: AFIS system that is compatible with existing Harris County Sheriff s equipment. D. Delivery: The contractor must deliver the previously described goods to: Constance Esters Deputy Chief U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX, 77030 E. Government Furnished Property: The contractor will not be furnished with any government property during term of the contact. F. Security Requirements: There is no security requirements associated with this contract. G. Place of Performance: All contracted work will be conducted at their privately owned facility and upon completion work will be released to the COR. H. Period of Performance: Work is to be completed 30 to 60 days from the award of the contract. The contractor shall not commence performance of the services identified in this SOW until the Contracting Officer (CO) has conducted a post-award conference, or has advised the contractor that a post-award conference has been waived Rigid, nest able frame to prevent theft while preserving space Interested companies should submit an electronic statement/attachment outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the services requested. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUB Zones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes only and all businesses able to provide this equipment are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size.
