- Description
- This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes. This is NOT a Request for Proposal. The intent of this RFI is to assist Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in conducting market research. NAVAIR is requesting information regarding the procurement of a minimum of seventy-five (75) LAU-115D/A missile launchers, part number 3929AS100, a minimum of eighty (80) LAU-116B/A missile launchers part number 3930AS100-1 (left hand), 3930AS100-2 (right hand), and a minimum of fifty-four (54) LAU-118 A/A missile launchers, part number 704AS4169-1, for the United States Navy (USN). There is potential for up to an additional 114 LAU-115D/A missile launchers, 102 LAU116B/A missile launchers, and 51 LAU-118 A/A missile launchers if pending Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procurements occur after USN efforts are on contract. Vendors interested in responding to the RFI shall provide a one to two page overview statement addressing the following: 1) Brief statement of interest/capabilities; 2) Any other information at vendor discretion such as catalogs, drawings/illustrations, technical manuals, training description/material, pricing, testing documentation, brochures and/or any other documentation that describes the capabilities, interfaces and specifications; 3) Respondents should identify any Government customer who have procured the LAU-115D/A, LAU-116B/A and/or LAU-118 A/A hardware and provide customer point of contact, including a telephone number, e-mail address or web site. Responses may be submitted either electronically to the email address provided below or submitted via mail to the address provided below. Responses are requested by 15 July 2017. Earliest possible response is encouraged. Responses will be review and additional information may be requested from individual vendors if desired by the Government. The Government is unwilling to allow for time required to stand up and fully qualify a new vendor. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested party in support of the effort described above. The Government reserves the right to review and use the data submitted at its own discretion. Upon request, the Government will protect proprietary information from unwanted disclosure. Any such requests shall be submitted with the statement of capabilities.
