- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division intends to award a sole source contract to Empower RF Systems based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 justification for only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for a VHF Amplifier needed to support the Government requirement. The VHF amplifier is one of many components, mounted on a platform, operating within a single system. No other company can provide the critical parameters required for a VHF Amplifier without compromising the operational capabilities of that system. This requirement will order up to 1 unit each with delivery being 6 months after receipt of award with FOB Destination to China Lake, CA. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES This requirement is for a VHF Amplifier. The minimum system requirements include: -Operating temperature- 0° to 50° C -Relative Humidity- 5% to 95% non-condensing -19" rack mountable -Ruggedized to MIL-STD-810F -Maximum Vertical Height of 34 inches -Maximum Weight of 450 lbs. -Frequency Range 150 MHz to 225 MHz -Peak Power 70 DBm (10,000 Watts) -Max Pulse Width 650µs -Minimum Pulse Width 4µs -Duty Cycle 15% SUBMISSION DETAILS Interested businesses shall submit written responses by e-mail in Microsoft Word format (version 1997-2003) to william.s.glenn@navy.mil no later than 15 days from this Notice date. Please submit all questions to Billy Glenn at william.s.glenn@navy.mil or (760) 939-3772. E-mail responses shall be received at this office no later than 3:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time on 07/21/2017 and reference this synopsis number on both the e-mail subject line as well as on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. Classified material SHALL NOT be submitted. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893617Q0082 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule.
