- PR# 0040345938 Vegetation Mastication/Chipping THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises or Small Businesses capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside. This is not a request for quotes (RFQ). The Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Regional Office, has a requirement for: General: Mechanical Mastication/Chipping of target vegetation within the project boundaries. The objective is to rid the identified tracts of small diameter woody vegetation and Eastern Red Cedar (ERC). The objective will be accomplished by machine masticating the following target vegetation: 1.All woody vegetation with a diameter breast height (DBH) of 6 ¿ and less with the exception of ERC (see below ERC requirements). 2.All ERC regardless of DBH. All material subsequent to mastication must be rough mulched or bucked. Debris must not exceed 12 ¿ above bare soil or be longer than 24 ¿. All stumps must be within 2 ¿ of ground level; stumps could be as larger as 30+. Location: One project is in Comanche County (Oklahoma) and two in Lincoln County (Oklahoma). Timeframes: Project work shall begin 30 calendar days of receipt of contract. Once work has begun at project location, the contractor has 90 calendar days to complete all work at specific project location. Once completed. No more than 14 calendar days may lapse before work commences at the next project location. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The applicable NAICS code is 113310, Logging, with a size standard of 500.
