- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, San Francisco VA Medical has a requirement for surgical lights for their veterinary medical unit. This requirement includes removal of the existing track mounted light and installation for dual new surgical lights including a ceiling mounted and mobile unit. Surgical lights are being requested as Brand Name or Equal. Proposed lights must meet the following specifications of the Stryker lights. Qty 2-Sets of Ceiling Mounted Chromophare F628 LED Lights Qty 1-Mobile Chromophare F628 LED Light with Battery Backup Qty 8-Wall Mounted F300 Exam Lights LED surgical lighting, mobile and ceiling mounted 360 degree light head rotation -includes between 100-120 LEDs capable of reflecting in such a way as to resolve shadow interference -color settings between 3600-5500 Kelvin (k) -includes laparoscopic guide light -includes wireless camera capability -must have an IP (ingress protection from dust and water) of 53 -includes ambient green or white light options for ambient laparoscopic lighting -surgical lens material is made from surgical grade medical glass and is anti-reflective -spot size adjustment between 6.3" and 11.5" -must be mobile and ceiling mounted F300 -must be wall mounted -brightness is 55,000 LUX -color rendering index for R1-8 (CRI) must be no lower than 96 -5 levels of brightness -must have both junction box and external plug options for electrical connection -depth of field (column depth) must be greater than 51.2" -light field (diameter) must be 6.3" or greater Additionally, the contractor must be able to perform the following: Contractor will provide an ICRA plan and provide and install Class IV infection control. Remove existing Light heads and suspensions 2. Remove existing rail systems 2. Remove section of ceiling to access structure installation and power relocation. Remove debris and old equipment to hospital standard trash. Design/Fabricate/Install structural mounts for new Chromophare lights. New suspension and structure will be offset to avoid the need to move existing ceiling mounted electrical and diffuser. Install mounting plates. Electrical Reuse existing power. No additional power needed from ISO panels. Reroute power that is being used by existing lights. Install SK Box above ceiling. Provide low voltage conduit for surgical light requirement. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources who can meet the salient characteristics below and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334516. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government intends to issue this RFQ. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, July 17, 2017 at 4 PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov and should include company name, address, point of contact, business size, SDVOSB/VOSB status, and product information. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is to assist the Government in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
