Description

United States (U.S.) Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Region 1 Telecommunications Business Office VA118-17-N-2287 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to issue a new contract to maintain coverage for Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) services on the VA Region 1 Telecommunications Business Office (R1 TBO) TAC intends to award a competitive, firm-fixed price contract at two VA Medical Centers (VAMC), The period of performance is 12-months. The proposed contract is for the continuation/transition of two Point to Point Metro Ethernet currently being provided at the Clinical Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) America Samoa Fiatele Teo Army Reserve Bldg. P.O. Box 1005, Pago Pago, America Samoa 96799 and American Samoa Vet Center, Equator Building, Ottoville Road, P.O. Box 982942, Pago Pago, America Samoa. Coverage and services shall be in place on December 1, 2017 with no interruptions to the circuits or services. See specific tasks and deliverables in the attached draft Product Description (PD) and Service Delivery Point Spreadsheet. This is a request for information (RFI) only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Do not submit a proposal or quote. This market research is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this market research will be the outcome of a competitive process. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. If capable, please submit a Capabilities Statement, limited to five (5) pages for your company. If your company can provide the all or any of the requested services, please give an estimated transition time. Please note VA118-16-N-1372 in the subject line of your response. Submittal Instructions: Responses are requested no later than 3:00 PM EST, Friday, July 24, 2017 via email to Matthew Schafer, Contract Specialist at matthew.schafer@va.gov. Submit questions in writing, regarding this RFI to matthew.schafer@va.gov. The Government will try to answer all questions. Those questions and answers will be posted to this site as an attachment.
