- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of large businesses and small businesses, to include VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339114 (Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing). The Bison 3 Dental Vacuum and Otter Tank (30 Gal) are known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that responsible Large and Small Businesses, including SDVOSB and VOSB sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Line Item No. Description Qty Unit 0001 818E.0800 Bison 3 Dental Vacuum Pump, 1.8L, 3HP, 1PH, 60Hz, 208V 1 EA 0002 575030 Otter Tank 30 Gal 1 EA 0003 900143C Slugbuster Powder Starter Pack 1 EA Salient Characteristics (Bison 3 Dental Vacuum and Otter Tank (30 Gallon) or EQUAL): 1. Must be heavy duty construction 2. Must have an LCD display for equipment status 3. Must be water free 4. Must have a positive displacement pump, rotary vane, high efficiency, oil sealed 5. Must not have strainers 6. Must be UL listed, comply with NFPA 99, FDA 7. Must be 3HP, 1PH, 60Hz, 208V 8. Must have a 30 Gal tank to use with the vacuum pump (included along with the purchase) 9. Must have large capacity oil reservoir 10. Must have vertical inlet and exhaust 11. Overall height not to exceed 26" 12. Overall width not to exceed 60" (for both vacuum pump and tank) 13. Overall depth not to exceed 19" Interested vendors are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339114 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Alea Barnes at alea.barnes@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 4:00pm Central Standard Time on Monday, July 17, 2017.
