Brand Name or Equal for Livello Hight Adjustable Workstations for the NWI Omaha VA Health Care System NAICS Code: 337214 Notice Type: Sources Sought This is a Request for Information (RFI) only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: conducting market research to identify potential sources for a potential procurement of Brand Name or Equal Livello Height Adjustable Workstations for the NWI Omaha VA Health Care System. See Attached DRAFT Statement of Work This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation. This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Information should be forwarded to the Contract Specialist. GREY MARKET ITEMS:   The Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that the OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. The vendor shall provide new items ONLY; no remanufactured or "grey market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.   The offeror shall provide evidence of its authority to distribute the proposed equipment/system at the time of submission of its quote/offer.   Please note that such evidence is subject to verification by the Contracting Officer at his/her discretion. DRAFT Description/Salient Characteristics Subject: Livello Motorized Height Adjustable Workstation Table, Electric, 30 d x 72 w Site: NWI Radiology (Omaha) 4101 Woolworth Ave. Omaha, NE 68105 Background: The Radiology department in Omaha is requesting 7 Livello motorized Height Adjustable Workstation Tables (30 d x 72 w). Our department recently purchased 3 of these tables for our reading rooms. The reading room has eight workstations where our radiology staff and residents dictate radiology studies for our patients. We are seeking these specific tables to match the three previously purchased. This allows the room to look more appealing if all the tables are the same color and style. They are the exact same size of workstation table that they will be replacing. It also allows staff to know how to operate the same workstation table because they are familiar with what we already have. The current workstation tables are at a fixed height and not adjustable to compensate for different heights of staff. Objective: Radiology wishes to obtain 7 identical Livello electric motorized Height Adjustable Workstation Tables (30 d x 72 w). We previously purchased 3 of these specific tables for the workstations in our radiologist reading area. Scope: Radiology would like to have the same tables purchased again to ensure continuity in the reading area. The same color of table and mode of operation is requested for aesthetic reasons. These specific tables will properly fit the area we have intended them to be used. Biomed is already familiar with the care and maintenance of our three current tables. Purchasing the exact same tables will allow for easy continuity of their upkeep by Biomed. The radiology staff who use these workstation tables are already familiar with the functions and knowledge of setting the preset heights on the electronic control box. Proper counterbalance charge is essential to maximizing table performance Supports sit-to-stand height-adjustment The vendor shall provide user manuals that describe proper use, care, and cleaning for users of the equipment. In addition, the vendor will provide a service manual that includes theory of operation, maintenance requirements, repair information, schematics, part lists and troubleshooting information in electronic format for use by the VA Biomedical Engineering Department.
