DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought announcement. This announcement is in support of market research to determine the feasibility of a sole source acquisition and to identify potential sources that can provide overhaul/repair of the following items: NOMENCLATURE PART NUMBER NSN Fwd Rotor Blade 114R1702-37 1615-01-145-7109 Aft Rotor Blade 114R1702-38 1615-01-145-7110 Container 114G0015-65 8145-01-480-5440 Container 114G0015-1 8145-01-102-3048 ESTIMATED QUANTITY RANGE: Minimum 20 each per month to sustain this production/overhaul rate and keep the Authorized Stockage Levels (ASL)/inventories filled to meet demands through length of contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 and the size standard is 1250 employees. Interested parties who have the capability to perform the above effort should respond to this notice and identify your business size and socio-economic status as applicable. All submissions must include full company names, Point of Contacts (POCs) to include, name, position, office and mobile telephone numbers and email address. Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Requests (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures. The approved source is The Boeing Company (CAGE Code, 77272). This requirement will be an other than Full and Open Acquisition. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal. A Synopsis will be issued at a later date for this requirement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this announcement or Government use of any information provided. This announcement does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition strategy. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisition strategies as deemed appropriate. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS CRITICAL TECHNOLOGY AND HAS BEEN RESTRICTED FOR RELEASE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. THIS INFORMATION CANNOT BE RELEASED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNMENT. This Acquisition contains Technical Data whose Export is restricted by THE ARMS EXPORT CONTROL ACT (TITLE 22, USC., SEC 2751 ET SEQ) OR THE EXPORT ADMINISTRATION ACT (TITLE 50, USC., APP 2401-2402) EXECUTIVE ORDER 121470. Contractor must have access to the Army's Logistics Modernization Program to successfully conduct worldwide logistical support functions and provide 24 hour 7 days a week, total logistics and supply management of blades and containers, to adequately meet worldwide demands in a Performance Based Logistics arena. Sources are required to provide successful, economical, efficient and timely accomplishment of the subject effort for logistics management of blades, containers and inventories (again to include: manage, issue, procure new spares, overhaul/repair, provide supply chain management, meet supply availability requirements, transport and be able to store forward/aft blades worldwide) in accordance with the priority rating to meet Army demands and performance metric of 85%, while meeting ASL levels for the Chinook Forward and Aft Rotor Blades, and Blade Containers at all identified worldwide locations.
