Description

This notice is to inform all potential contractors of the date and time bids are due for Building 1 Life Safety Improvements project The Veterans Integrated Service Network 04 (VISN 04) Contracting Office in Butler, PA issuing the attached Invitation For Bid (IFB) and intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for Construction Services related to the Construction of Building 1 Life Safety Improvements project #595-17-103 all work to be performed at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, located at 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042. All construction must be in compliance with applicable codes, VA policy/standards, and the terms of this contract. The contractor shall provide all tools, travel, trades, labor, materials, permits, licenses and supervision for construction to create a two hour rated passage from the ground floor discharge of stair tower three to the outside of the building, as indicated in drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, furnishing and installing an aluminum store front package with sliding doors in the exterior wall of the building, new sidewalk and grading in the wander garden and associated fire alarm, HVAC and security system work. The project will include minor de-construction, minor demolition, exterior concrete and masonry, interior framing, drywall and finishes, floors, electrical, ceilings, alarm systems, fire suppression, plumbing, cameras, doors, heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC), pipes, and associated components. Several items for this project are sole sourced, the details posted in the solicitation along with drawings, specifications and attachments pertaining to this requirement. Bids are due 2:00 PM (EDT) on Monday, August 14, 2017. All bids shall be mailed to or hand carried and clearly labeled: A public bid opening will be held on this date and time in Building 1 Room 329W Site visit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, is planned for Monday July 24, 2017 at 10:00AM (EDT).
