- Description
- I2WD, ISP Division is seeking information from universities, contractors and/or government performers regarding internally-funded Independent Research and Development (IR&D) efforts and externally funded (contract or grant) efforts relating to noncooperative Identity Identification, and Identity Management within the CYBER domain as it relates to video, audio, and unstructured text. I2WD, ISP Division is seeking information from universities, contractors and/or government performers regarding internally-funded Independent Research and Development (IR&D) efforts and externally funded (contract or grant) efforts relating to noncooperative Identity Identification, and Identity Management within the CYBER domain as it relates to video, audio, and unstructured text. Knowledge of these efforts is of significant interest for identifying investments being pursued inside and outside the services and will help provide information on advanced technology options for incorporation into the Army's overall Science and Technology (S&T) roadmap(s). The Army is requesting that performers provide white papers describing their IR&D efforts in specific focused areas and Technology Challenge areas. Performers' papers and topics will not be shared with Competitors and reviewed only by the government Subject Matter Experts (SME) and selected MITRE employees, as a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). In exchange for performers' concept papers, Army SMEs may meet with a few selected groups and provide additional information on government requirements and long-term priorities in hopes of influencing projects directions and protecting intellectual property. Depending on the topic, the Community of Interest (COI) may take actions to independently fund efforts resulting from this RFI, in their efforts to meet other requirements and gaps. The Community of Interest (COI) will host an Information Exchange on 16 August 2017 in McLean, Virginia. Industry researchers, academia, scholars and scientists are encouraged to submit white papers and concept papers in accordance with the guidance listed in the "Requested Information" section of this RFI.
